- Single Acting - hydraulic pressure in one direction, return stroke via gravity or spring force
- Double Acting - hydraulic pressure for both extension and retraction, higher efficiency
- Telescopic - multiple internal stages for a long stroke length with a compact closed size
- Tie Rod - high-strength steel rods secure end caps, suited to light-to-medium-duty applications
- Welded Body - end caps welded directly to the barrel for a compact, leak-resistant design
